River / 遙遠的大河

She flows in my blood,

a love
older than memory,

a river
moving eastward—

through misted mountains,
across rice fields,
beneath old ginkgo trees.

I have travelled far.

Yet in the silence
of a moonlit night,

I hear her again—

pure,
sincere,
noble.

I am her daughter,

and a mother
to daughters,

and their daughters’
daughters.

She flows on,

a river
moving eastward,
without end.


遙遠的大河

她
在我的血脈裡流著,

是一份
比記憶更悠遠的愛。

像一條
向東奔流的大河,

穿過迷濛的山林,
越過金黃的稻田,
流經古老的銀杏樹下。

我走遠了。

月夜人靜時,
我又聽見了她

淳厚,
率真,
莊嚴。

我是她的女兒,

也是母親。

滋養女兒,
也滋養
女兒的女兒。

像一條向東奔流的大河,
流著,流著,
生生不息。
