You and I would never know
when we became entwined,
riding over rolling hills
along winding roads
toward a destination yet unknown.

Was it a dream—
after the oysters and champagne,
the empty glasses
amid new friends
and easy laughter,

to turn back time,
to fall head over heels,

to descend into an abyss
of doubt and fear?

And yet—

I could almost see an orchard
filled with golden apples
beyond that faraway rainbow,

and a wellspring
of sweet elixir
flowing in a secret garden.

But still—
I stopped outside.

For it was your paradise,
where my sustenance
would be lost.

我們是從何時開始
相互牽纏,
越過起伏的山丘,
沿著蜿蜒的道路,
邁向一個
未能知曉的終點。

那是一場夢嗎?

生蠔與香檳之後,
在新朋友的喧笑之間,
散著一只只空杯。

時光能否倒流?

心會否再次失足,
墜入疑惑與惶恐的深淵?

然而——

我彷彿看見
在那遙遠彩虹的彼端,
有一片果園,
結滿金色的蘋果;

也彷彿看見
一脈甘泉,
在幽祕的花園裡
潺潺流淌。

我卻停在園外。

因為那是妳的伊甸,
而滋養我生命的泉源,
將在那裡枯竭。
